Do you want to take a break from the exhausting city life and treat yourself to a weekend fully immersed in nature? Do you want to discover the Dolomites, Italy's most famous mountains? Then this is the trip for you!

The Dolomites are a mountain range in Northern Italy, spanning three regions near the Austrian border. Known for their stunning peaks and rosy hue, watching the sunset there has been named one of the "50 things to do in your lifetime" by National Geographic. However, getting there can be tricky, so we want to give you this opportunity!

On September 26th, we’ll kick off our adventure by departing from Bologna and heading to the area around Cortina d'Ampezzo, known as the "Queen of the Dolomites." There, we’ll go for a hike that allows us to immerse ourselves in this fantastic landscape and take in breathtaking views. Afterward, we’ll return to the bus and head to Lake Dobbiaco, where we can stop for a while and enjoy the scenery.

Next, we’ll check into our hotel and have dinner together!

We’ll wake up early the following morning and, after breakfast, set off to visit the famous Lake Braies—a Dolomites "must-see"! We’ll have some free time before heading to the Tre Cime di Lavaredo (another must-see spot). There, we’ll embark on a second hike to get closer to these iconic peaks, with the option—for those with energy to spare—to continue on to the Cadini di Misurina and its spectacular viewpoint (you might have already seen it on Instagram...).

We’ll have a packed lunch, and upon returning to the bus, an aperitivo awaits us on the shores of another mountain lake. We can eat, drink, and admire the mountains while listening to music from our section's party speaker. Finally, we’ll return to Bologna in the evening.

Lunch on the first day is not included; please bring something from home, as many mountain huts will be closed. However, dinner on the first day, breakfast, a packed lunch, and aperitifs are included. The trip costs €190!

The trip includes two hikes, each lasting 3–4 hours; while not impossible, they are challenging. Since these are mountain hikes, we recommend wearing hiking boots or sturdy trekking shoes, dressing appropriately, and bringing water. A reasonable level of physical fitness is also required, as reaching the scenic viewpoints involves gaining elevation.
